Wendy practices what she teaches on a daily basis. The Big Rock Yoga Methodology is the result of her almost twenty years on a mat and 50 years in life! She teaches varying styles of classes of all levels to meet students exactly where they are physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her passion is empowering others through the Big Rock Methodology to lead an intentional life with no limits as a service to self and others! While she is a grounded, playful leader in her power vinyasa yoga classes, many classes are led with full respect that some of us are just not in a playful mood and simply need the space to feel and heal.
"Transformation is an ongoing process. I fully believe I can only give what I allow myself to receive. That is why remaining a student of yoga and life is a central focus for me. I sought to heal the physical and emotional impacts of a debilitating arthritis when I began my yoga practice. I chose to fully believe in miracles through faith, hope, and steadfast actions. From that choice I gained a renewed self trust. I have received a physical healing from years of acute and chronic back pain. I have received an ongoing emotional healing through a daily mindfulness practice that allows me to identify and release negative thoughts. My life is now abundantly rich in relationship with myself and others through the gift of empowerment a disciplined yoga practice gives. I have a connection to a loving, divine spirit and practice staying open to that source on a moment by moment basis. The joy and empowerment I teach others through yoga is the result of my own life struggles teaching me compassion and forgiveness. I believe joy and empowerment are the result of compassion and forgiveness. And, it is my responsiblity to choose a daily yoga practice that leads to positive actions towards myself and others."
Wendy currently leads class, workshops, and Teacher Trainings at Big Rock Yoga. She created the Minding Our Business Methodology for mental health facilities and corporate wellness programs. She personally leads and staffs 10 weekly group therapy sessions at The Bridgeway. These sessions provide care for patients in substance abuse, dual diagnosis, psychosis, adolescents, and outpatient units. As a corporate constultant Wendy has created and led programs of varying depth, including 60-90 minute leadership trainings through mindfulness practices to a full 30 day Stress and Anxiety Mindfulness Program. Her private clients have included the UALR Mens Basketball team, Woodland Psychiatric Research Institute, and Simmons Bank.
In 2003, Wendy's first decade as a yoga teacher started in a local gym in East Texas. Over that decade she gained an expansive experience teaching private lessons, classes, and athletes that led to opening a local studio in 2011. From 2013-2017, Wendy assisted a 200 Hour Teacher Training in Kenya, co-facilatated workshops at The Yoga Journal Conference in Estes Park, and led teacher trainings in Austin, Tyler, and Canada. She developed the Big Rock Yoga Methodology and opened Big Rock Yoga January 31, 2014. Through the Big Rock Yoga Methodology Wendy has trained over 150 teachers in Arkansas.
Wendy is a registered E200 RYT, E500 RYT, and CE Trainer through Yoga Alliance. Her studies over the last twenty years have been in depth with Baron Baptiste and Circle Yoga Shala. She is committed to continue her education in yoga therapy over the next several years.

Masters in Advanced Studies of Teaching and Learning
Shauna Wood began her studies as a yoga teacher in 2014. Since then she has taught over 1,000 hours at Big Rock Yoga, LA Fitness, Clubhause, Barefoot, and most recently Beer Yoga at a local brewery. Shauna's personal style of yoga and teaching has a precision that creates success in personal practice on the mat. She has a love for the instagram yoga community and competitions! Just a few of her greatest attributes as as student and teacher are her discipline to the practice, loyalty all persons in her life, and a passion for an overall healthy lifestyle.
In her professional past, Shauna worked at JB Hunt for 5 years. She then received a Masters in Advanced Studies of Teaching and Learning, which she used for 10 years teaching middle school and high school in Arkansas. All of which bring a great depth of leadership to our Big Rock Yoga Training Team.
Shauna is younger than 99 years old and older than 30 years old, a wife, and the mother of a beautiful daughter. Outside of the yoga studio Shauna can be found playing with her favorite 3 year old, walking, and trying local restaurants. Most recently she and her favorite 3 year old were foodies at Table 28's vegan cuisine.
Shauna does not have a favorite pose. She says, "I like to find one I have ignored for a while and get back into learning and refining it." She teaches yoga to share this passion for learning! "I love to see others light up when they begin to understand and feel a new energy in a pose.", Shauna.
Amy Bradley Hole began her yoga practice while living in Florida soon after giving birth to her second son. She fell in love with her yoga community, teacher, and all that yoga did for her...body, mind, and soul. Her Florida community received back when Amy trained for a Kids Yoga certification and led classes for kids to discover the joys of yoga. When Amy and her family relocated to Little Rock her yoga practice and all that it gives suffered when she lost the connection to her home yoga community. After a few years of a home practice and no practice, the global world of social media linked her with Big Rock Yoga! Amy's teacher in Florida and the Big Rock Yoga founder were friends, so she decided to give a new community one more try. And, we at Big Rock are so grateful!
Amy joined our commUNITY and got back on her mat in 2015. She then completed her 200 Hour RYT certification June, 2017. In the past year Amy has taught weekly classes at both of our Little Rock locations. Students most frequently compliment Amy on her ability to educate them in the physical aspects while weaving the education of how to apply the ethical principles of yoga. She is truly an artist as a teacher.
In her professional past Amy worked in education and hospitality. Her experiences have included Harrah's Entertainment Las Vegas Hotels and a boutique hotel in London, England. One of Amy's responsibilities in the hospitality industry was corporate employee training. She brings her education and corporate experience along with her decade of yoga practice to the Big Rock Yoga Teacher Training team.
Amy is 44 years old. She is married to a man she brought home from "over the pond" while working in Londond. They have 2 sons. This current school year Amy will be home schooling to allow one of her sons to explore education in a more free spirit manner. Amy loves to travel, binge-watch trashy TV, hike, and learn anything new!
Amy's favorite yoga pose is half pigeon because it encompasses both grounding and opening at the same time for her. Plus, she can play with several variations when she is in a playful mood or ready to explore new experiences.

Vesper Tierney Potter is emojis in live action. She is one of the most expressive and nurturing yoga teachers around! While her teaching is verbally expressive with "feel good" metaphors, her teaching style is simple, clear, and deeply physical. Vesper's beginners classes are jokingly referred to as "Beginner, Not Beginner". Her communication style and connection with each student results in an empowering experience on the mat.
Vesper began her yoga practice as a student when her family moved to Arkansas in 2014. Since then she has completed Big Rock Yoga 200 and 500 Hour Programs. Students love the hands on attention Vesper gives while teaching. She has a passion for physical assistance that deepens the student's experience physically and spiritually.
While living in Florida Vesper worked as a manager and employee trainer in several restaurants. She also has extensive experience in early childhood education. Like our other trainers, she has a strong history in employee training and developmnent with over 25 years of experience.
As the mother of 4 children Vesper is a busy lady! Her days are filled with school events, yoga, and as an active networker for Bonefish Grill, where her husband Joe is the General Manager. When she is not teaching yoga or giving away bang bang shrimp for Bonefish Grill, Vesper loves to travel, read, and being a wanna be foodie (really just eating!). She is the Big Rock Team Cheerleader and Coordinator of many things fun.
Extended Side Angle is Vesper's favorite yoga pose. "I feel long, strong, grounded, and graceful. It allows me to easily move into other poses from that foundation."
